choice,
Karen
Wright
relocated
with
her
family
to
Charlottesville,
Virginia
in
1998.
Since
becoming
a full
time
real
estate
professional,
she
has
earned
the
prestigious
GRI
designation
awarded
by
the
Graduate
Realtor
Institute
and
has
been
recognized
by
her
firm,
Real
Estate
III,
with
the
Circle
of
Excellence
Award
for
sales
production.
Karen
graduated from H. Sophie Newcomb
College of Tulane University
with a Bachelor's degree in
Psychology. At Trinity University
in San Antonio, Texas, she
completed graduate studies in
Psychology, earning a Master's
degree. Karen is a former Vice
President -Investments for Morgan
Stanley.
Since
moving to Charlottesville,
Karen has been an actively involved
community member.She has served
on the boards of the Jefferson
Swim League and Party Parade,
a local fund raising organization.
Her current affiliations include
member of the boards of the
Piedmont Council of the Arts
and the Ash Lawn Opera Guild.
Karen serves as an alumna advisor
to the Lambda Gamma chapter
of Chi Omega Fraternity at
the University of Virginia and
as a member of the Martha Jefferson
Hospital's Women's Committee.
This group sponsors Martha's
Market, the proceeds of which
support the hospital's women's
health programs and cancer
research. Karen and her family
are parishioners at St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church and
belong to Farmington Country
Club.
